Miss Indiana USA's Best Boutique Dress Can be Yours!

There are so many fabulous outlets for shopping these days. I love a good online find and every once in a while hitting up a department store turns out successful. But over the past five years, boutique shopping has provided the most unique fashion finds that guarantee you won't see it anywhere else.

Jillian Wunderlich, Miss Indiana USA, loves shopping as much a I do so when she came into town, we headed downtown to a new boutique called Aqua Fedora. One of my good friends works there and I really love their selection of dresses.

The dress she wore to her Chi & Fadil Berisha shoot yesterday in Vegas was the perfect outfit. It's really pretty, definitely comfortable and it makes a statement without trying too hard. When you have wardrobe changes during a shoot, you want to make sure you have something easy to slip in and out of. And if I do say so myself, her hair (thank you Chi!) and her makeup (thank you Danielle Doyle!) look AMAZING!!!

Your Miss USA Travel Style!!

The 2011 Miss USA contestants are flocking to Vegas all this week as the official competition is here!!! One of the biggest things we focus on with girls is how to be prepared before you ever leave with a huge part of that being focused on the daily grind for the girls. The most fun part of it all is working on those day-to-day fabulous wardrobes where "cute/casual" takes on a whole new Miss USA style!

We will be blogging on the fabulous wardrobes over the next 3 weeks so up first are two awesome looks you can snag from Ana Rodriguez, Miss TX USA and Courtney Turner, Miss SC USA. Their style is effortless, chic and comfortable for the trip to Sin City.

For Courtney's travel, we wanted her to feel comfortable managing her luggage while looking camera-ready at all times. Her maxi dress was the perfect choice to achieve just that!

Maxi dresses are cut to every body type and the fun prints add more to your overall look without you overloading on too many accessories. The gorgeous maxi to the left is one you can take home from our fav - Victoria's Secret. I have long loved this dress for the colors and the A-line cut that makes everyone's figure look great. It's only $89.00 and is perfect for traveling, dinner with friends or as a cover-up for a day on the boat!

Get your Victoria's Secret Maxi Here!

Ana is beautifully trending with her fabulous Jackie O. Sunnies. Sunnies are what I call sunglasses.  Jen Hawkins was the first Miss Universe I lived with in Trump Place. The Australian beauty always had nicknames for things - sunglasses = sunnies; chewing gum = chewy and so forth. So it stuck with me and I am in love with Ana's sunnies!!

You can get the same look from Juicy Couture's Women's The Beau Sunglasses. Endless.com has the best deal at $98.00. You can get them as soon as Saturday with NO shipping charge. So it's just in time for the weekend!!

Get Your New Sunnies Here!

Remember to always be comfortable with your styling, especially when you're traveling. And in doing so, you don't have to skimp on the fashion so throw on your favorite sunnies to top it all off! Stay tuned for our exclusive coverage of the Miss USA Contestant Fashion and how you can get the looks!!!

The New Swimsuit Shoe!!

For years, I have scoured the internet for the latest and greatest fashion finds for myself and our clients. And I LOVE it!  Bringing you the best deals and accessories to your closet has become a specialty of mine. At the end of the day, you have to migrate with the fashion times and there's no better place to do that, than on the pageant stage.

My new favorite swimsuit shoe comes from Nine West, via endless.com. First off, endless.com is an all-time favorite shopping website of mine. It's easy to search for specific items and they highlight brands you won't find at your local department store. The prices are great for any budget and the best part....their FREE overnight shipping!! So here's a look at this season's hottest swimsuit shoe:

Nine West's Armcandy Platform Sandal is gorgeous in gold. It's perfect for the swimsuit competition because the leather straps create a seamless and lengthening look for your legs - which we all love! The heel and platform are covered with subtle sparkles of gold glitter.

This shoe gives enough bling to add to your swimsuit choice but will NOT overpower your look. The gold is more of a muted tone which works well with all skin types. Oh and the best part - the 6.5" it adds to you! The taller the better on stage because it immediately takes 5 lbs. off of your frame.

The arch in this shoe is especially gorgeous because it takes away any concern you may have of wearing a chunky heel. The heel is sturdy enough for you to walk in but sexy enough for you to look and  feel like a Victoria's Secret Runway Model!

I am a MAJOR fan of doubling up on your wardrobe. What does that mean exactly? Well, with all of the money you invest into your pageant wardrobe, you should be able to wear some of it again. These shoes are made really well and can be worn out to dinner with friends, for a birthday or any cocktail event you may have. Plus, they would look awesome with your favorite dark denim skinny jeans.

At only $89.00 and FREE Overnight Shipping, I would snag these shoes ASAP and bank on the fact that you will rock the swimsuit competition with these sky-high lovelies! Click HERE for this  new favorite accessory!

The Story is Out: Why Miss Maine USA opted out of Miss USA

Emily Johnson crowned Miss Maine USA last November.

I remember sitting at our January Titleholder Retreat when Mackenzie, the Executive Director for Miss Maine USA, got the call.  Her titleholder, Emily Johnson, had made her decision about foregoing the Miss USA pageant, thus relinquishing her title.

The reason? The not-then-released date of the Miss USA telecast was falling on the same day as her big sister's wedding. Now I've known Mackenzie for years now and as a director, she only wants the best for her girls. As a friend, she wants nothing more than to see them reach their full potential.

Naturally, she was upset for Emily, but only because she knew she was wrestling with such a tough decision. I never seen Mackenzie not support her girls. So with Emily's decision made, everyone did what was necessary to make sure Emily and her family were protected while starting Ashley, the new Miss Maine USA's journey to Miss USA.

Executive Director, Mackenzie Davis with her 2009 Winners.
In the end, Emily gets to share in one of the most important moments her family will experience and Miss Maine USA, Ashley Lynn Marble, will show up gorgeous as ever to Miss USA on June 19th.

If you were in that situation, would you miss out on your sister's wedding or would you give up Miss USA? It's a tough call, but at the end of the day as long as you stay true to yourself, you can rest with the choice you've made.

Everyone involved did an excellent job in handling the situation so that both Emily and Ashley could move forward positively and I cannot wait to see how fabulous Ashley will look at Miss USA!

Donald Trump for President: Is he or isn't he?

Speculation continues to rise as Donald Trump's favoritism rises in the Republican polls catapulting him to the top spot, a solid 9 points above Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin. Undoubtedly, Mr. Trump carries the name recognition needed in the Republican Party. Would he be strong enough in the race? Will the Tea Party jump on the Trump train?

Where do you stand on the issues?

 - Libyan conflict
 - Budget plans
 - Housing market
 - President Obama's Birth Certificate Controversy

Below is Mr. Trump's latest interview with Fox News host, Sean Hannity, and what he has called America's need for the Common Sense Mentality

Twitter Explodes Over Donald Trump Today Show Interview

By: Mark Pasetsky

Donald Trump, the host of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice and possible candidate for President of the United States, continued his non-stop media blitz with this morning’s appearance on the Today Show where he was interviewed Meredith Veira. The response of Twitter was fast and furious with Mr. Trump quickly becoming one of the big trending topics on Twitter.

Why the big fuss?  Trumps’ controversial comments on the Today Show regarding Obama’s birth certificate can partially explain the outburst on Twitter:

“I’m not convinced that he has one,” Trump said of the birth certificate issue.  “I’d like to have him show his birth certificate…And to be honest with you, I hope he can.”

The other reason Trump is lighting up Twitter? NBC’s Luke Russert tweeted this message, which indicates Trump could be a serious contender if he decides to run for President:
“NBC/WSJ Poll has Donald Trump in 2nd place in #GOP field. Romney 21% Trump 17% Huck 17%. Trump leads amongst Tea Party voters.”

Trump will continue to be a big topic in social media — until at least June – when he’ll decide whether or not he will actually become a Presidential candidate.

Here's a re-cap on where he stands on the heavy issues.
